-Hi Michael, thanks for accepting this interview! Let's start it with your background.

It started two years back where I met someone who apparently believed in my abilities. It happened in one of the auditions I was sent to, when I participated in a modeling contest. Even though I thought this modeling contest could be a real breakthrough for a new career, (except for the fact that am I basketball player already) it didn’t work. I tried my luck, but with no luck at all.

The real break point in my short career started as I met this guy I mentioned before, who became my personal manager, his name is Adi.

He said to me, almost immediately, that I am going to be the biggest star in Israel. I actually thought he was crazy. I told him that no one really wants me anyway. I tried my luck at several agencies and found out that I am not really welcomed, or wanted. But he was the one who believed in me and made things happen. The rest is history.


-What are some of your personal and professional interests?

I like spending time on the beach with my friends and try to find some peace and quite in this crazy world I am in. My pro interests are taking advantage of the power I got and use it to help weaker people, or people who I can put a smile on their face.


-I read that you started working as a model at the age of 17, what prompted you to follow a career as a model?

I think I wanted to prove to people that I do have something in me, that they didn’t see.  I got lots of comments from people. Some of them were positive and some were not. I strongly believed that I can succeed in this world. I never took a "no" for an answer. I think that I was too stubborn to understand what a "no" was. And that’s why I pushed and pushed myself to that point where I made people believe in me.


-You worked for Abercrombie & Fitch, do you consider it to be your greatest accomplishment as a model so far?  

No. I see it as one, important though, point in the long route that I am on. It is certainly one of the important things I have done in my career.


-I know you are an actor too and that you are playing an important role in a daily drama called  "Ha-Alufa", what aspect of acting is your favorite and what aspect is your least favorite?

The "Ha-Alufa" or in its English name "The Champion" was a complete surprise for me. I never saw a daily drama. And when I was sent to the audition I didn’t think about the fact that daily dramas are the real deal these days. At start I didn’t want to do it. But I found out that I made the right choice. My favorite aspect in acting…I think that I like acting because I can express myself as a versatile actor. I can show that I am not just a cute kid. The least favorite aspect in acting is that I have to a do sometimes roles that I less like, like the blind person who lost his sight in bombing attack. It's not as easy as it looks. You have to stare at one spot and use your ears as your main tool. It’s a difficult part but I try to do my best.


-Are they any roles you would like to play and any actors or directors you would like to work with?

Edward Norton is the best! He's my favorite actor ever! And I would want to work with Steven Spielberg and Woody Ellen. I think they are great directors!


-Tell us some of the projects are you working on right now and some of your future projects.

I am working on a project right now that’s called "Big Head", for the next 2 months!

Around the middle of June,  I am heading to NYC to shoot the winter catalog of "FOX fashion", for which I model as their spokesperson and leading model.

Furthermore, around October I am going to relocate to NY, and try my luck out there.  


-What adjectives would you use to describe yourself?

I like smiling.

I see my self as a positive person.

I like giving.

And mostly I like watching people smile

 

-Who do you most admire and why?

There's no one that I really admire, but I think I try taking the best out the things that I want to do, Modeling and acting. I watch and investigate people who lead the same interests that I have and learn from them.


-How would you describe the ideal girl of your dreams?

In two words…Angelina Jolie. The eyes, the lips, the body, absolutely perfect!
I  think she is the ideal woman for me.
