Mag! July, 2008
-Thanks
Jacob thanks for accepting to be interviewed for my
online mag, to start this interview off tell me
a little about your hometown.
I am
born and raised in Australia! I was born in a small
country town and my parents moved further up the East
Coast to live more of the 'city' life.
-How
did you get into modelling? What or who made you decide
to follow a career as a model?
I got into
modelling through a friend who used me once or twice
for promotional jobs and later convinced me to get some
professional shots taken! Those shots were put on MySpace and it led from there...
-Please share
with me some of your experiences as a model, what do
you consider your best achievement so far?
I
am relatively new to the modelling industry but within
only a few weeks I was shortlisted with 3 other males
for a big Australian Ralph Lauren campaign (see photo
below) which was
quite exciting! I have been in several magazines, TV
commercials and have been the face for a few different
clothing brands here in Australia.

-Have
you ever considered pursuing a career in acting?
Acting
has never really been on my list of 'to do' things.
I would be willing to give it a go but right now I am
training to be in the Full time Australian fire brigade
as well as working as a qualified electrician and modelling!
So all in all I am quite busy.
-You are
in great shape, what sports do you practice?
I
have grown up playing numerous sports throughout my
life! My passion is rugby league and beach volleyball.
Although right now I am taking a break from both. Exercise
and gym are the only real forms of sport I am involved
in at the present time.
-Let's talk about
Australia, which are the top tourist destinations in
your country?
I would have to say that the
beaches on the east coast are of high standard. I am
from the gold coast which is a top tourist attraction
in itself and people usually flock here from all over
the world for the beaches. I love my fishing and diving
so the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsundays is also
high up on my list.
-How would you rate
the importance of becoming famous? Do you think famous
people are happier than ordinary people?
I
don't think it is very important to be famous at all.
Famous people seem to have to deal with constant dramas
in their lives alot more than your normal 'average Joe'.
Famous people are always being watched and harassed
so no I don't think famous people are all that happier
than any other normal person.
-When you
were a kid, what was your dream for the future? Has
it changed?
My dream as a kid was always
to be a fireman. It has changed a little over the years
and taking alot longer than I wanted but I am well on
my way to becoming one.
-Thanks
again Jacob for taking the time to reply to my questions,
good luck for your career!
