-Hello Colby, I'm really flattered you accepted to be interviewed for CoverMen Mag!, to start this interview off, please give me some background information such as hometown, family, education, where do you live now.Colby

Hometown: Sonora, CA
Family: Mom Alicia and Dad Brent, Brother Trey (20), Sister Kendra (14)
Education: Sonora High School, Bachelors in Criminology at the University of La Verne
Live now: New York City

-Let's look back at how you started modeling, tell me about how you got "discovered".

Played baseball in college and valet parked as a side job and got discovered by a photographer (Jamie Luca) while parking cars at the Santa Anita Mall. Took some pictures and signed with Nous Models in L.A. a week later.

-How did you get your first modeling job? What was it like?

My first modeling job was for Vogue Hommes. Just went to the casting and got picked...was pretty sweet but was unaware of the quality of the job until later on

-Surely you're a very successful model, please tell me about your main modeling assignments so far: your ad campaigns and the famous photographers you have worked with...Colby

Shot Vogue Hommes, Citizen K, OUT a couple of times, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister which was obviously shot with Bruce Weber, Shows in Milan and New York, spent some time in Tokyo, Japan. Just graduated last May from college and now plan on traveling as much as I can and as long as I can...I guess you can say I'm taking advantage of the blessings that stand before me.

-In terms of preferences, do you like to do photo shoots for editorials and campaigns or do you enjoy doing the runways more?

While editorials and campaigns are a lot of fun and pay a lot better, you also get to spend more time with the people you are working with, allowing you to make good connections and built great friendships. Even though that lacks in shows, they are still a blast to do and I would do one any day of the week!

-I guess you travel a lot for work, where have you been lately and where will go next? Colby

Been to a few spots throughout the United States, went to London for a job, spent a month in Italy, graduated from school and went to Tokyo for 2 months, and I am now in New York. I plan on heading out to Spain soon, Germany, maybe back out to Tokyo later in the year...gonna just play it by ear I guess and see what God has in store for me.

-Apart from modeling, what else do you enjoy doing? What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love spending time with the ones closest to me, family, friends, love to snowboard, go to the beach, play the guitar, and enjoy the simple things in life

-What kind of music do you like best? Who is your favorite singer?

Got to admit, I love country music (Chris Cagel, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, and Kenny Chesney)   as well as anything acoustic (Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, and Secondhand serenade) Also bands like MGMT, Yellowcard and Slightly Stupid.

-How would you define yourself in a few words?

Sarcastic, Blunt, Chill.

-Thanks Colby for taking your time to reply to my questions, I wish you good luck with all your future challenges!
