-Hello Bartolomeo, I am flattered to interview you, to start this interview off, please give me some brief background information.Bartolomeo Fasano, male model

My name is Bartolomeo Fasano, I was born in Bari in the south east coast of Italy the day of June 3rd 1984. My family consists of my dad, Fasano Giovanni, my mom, Adamo Filomena, my bothers, Nicola e Simone, and me. I always lived and studied in Bari until the day I moved to Milan for work. I was 20 years old. I studied for Mecanical Expert at school. Right now I am living in Vancouver BC.

-On starting to model: When did you begin thinking of modeling as a career? Was your family supportive of your choice?

I knew that I wanted to be a model since I was 14 years old but I couldn't start it before I finished school and saved money to move away from my home town. My family always let me make my own choices.

-How did you get your first modeling job? What was it like?Bartolomeo Fasano, top male model

My first modeling job was the fitting for Dolce & Gabbana…I got it through my first agent and it was pretty awesome to work for them. They treat models really good.

-What was the very first thing you bought from your earnings as a model?

My first item I bought was an Armani head band to cover my ears from the cold air in Milan’s winters.

-In terms of preferences, do you like to do photo shoots for editorials and campaigns or do you enjoy doing the fashion shows more?

I personally prefer to do photoshoots more then catwalks. In the fashion week castings for catwalks are the worst. You could wait 2 hours or so in line-up most of the time…Photoshoots are more fun. You get to travel, see new locations. Even if the 2 minutes on the catwalks make you feel like I star I have to admit.

-Please tell me a little bit about your recent and upcoming modeling assignments...Bartolomeo Fasano, top male model

My last job was a campaign shooting in Vancouver BC for a big shop here in town. My next one will be a catwalk for a local designer…But I got direct booking on that, so no line up for me.

-Tell me about your professional plans: apart from modeling, what else would you like to pursue or are you already pursuing?

My interests are music, djing  and gym. I like to produce music as well. My genre are minimal/electronic/techno. I even have interest to became a personal trainer one day. I spend 2-3 hours a day in the gym. I like to meditate as well.

-Tell me something about yourself, who is Bartolomeo, the person? Which adjectives would you use for this purpose?

I can define myself as a positive, ambitious and happy person. Sometimes crazy but like everybody else no?

-What is the meaning of fun and having a good time for you? Do you have any friends among other models?

I always have fun, I take my life with a big smile! I am good friend with Christian Santamaria and Eugen Bauder. I did work with them very often in catwalks and photoshoots.

-Thanks for sharing your story with me Bartolomeo, I wish you all the best: health, happiness, love and continued success!
