Interview by Edo Q © 2010 CoverMen Mag!   February, 2010 -Hello Arthur, I'm really flattered you accepted to be interviewed for CoverMen Mag!, to start this interview off, please give me some background information  like your full name, hometown, family, education. Thanks for the interview its a pleasure! Full name: Arthur Sales Gouveia; Hometown: Recife Pernambuco, Northeast Brazil; Family: the most beautiful in the world with Italian origin and Brazilian mix; Education: I was attending University (School of Law) before starting my modeling career; Now I'm in NY. -How and when did you start modeling? Did anyone ever suggest that you should be a model? Well, it all started one day when I was working out at the gym and one friend of mine asked me if I could do one show in my town, at the same day I was walking down the runway and my Agent, Elizabeth Pontes, started to sell me around the world and my first stop was Milan. My mom when I was a kid put my name in one beauty contest and I won it. It was so fun to win one bike at 10 years old!  -Do you remember your first photo shoot? Did you feel comfortable in front of the camera? Yes I remember it but I just stayed in one place without movements and facial expressions a really good experience that photo shoot! -Which fashion designer was your  first  fashion show for? What were you thinking during it? Dsquared, I just was thinking "Thanks God for my first international show" and after I did the campaign with Daria Werbowy.  -Tell me: how did you get the editorial for Vanity Fair with Shakira?  What do you remember about that experience? Ok it was funny, I was at the Dsquared Backstage and one man stopped me and started taking pictures of me and fews days later I was shooting with that man, the director of Vanity Fair. Shakira is nice and so beautiful I just forgot to ask her one thing "Could I dance with you?" -Though you are very young, your modeling career is going very fast, did you expect to become so popular in such a short time? Well, the biggest project in all my life is coming out soon...I'm just trying to do different things and to do  my best always, I just wanna say thanks God everytime for everything and this project will be called for me: "God can do in your life". It will be more than amazing! -Turning to some personal questions, tell me which adjectives would you use to describe yourself? I am a simple guy, because Life is simple and with a lot of "things" to love God, family and friends that makes me happier every day. -Apart from modeling, what else do you enjoy doing? How do you  spend your free time? I'm traveling a lot visiting sightseeings, I go to the gym and sometimes when I go to one beach place I play  footvolley and surf. -I guess you often meet  new people, do you make friends easily?  I really appreciate real and true friends sometimes it is difficult to make friend easily. -Did you play any sports in school? What is your favorite sport now? My favorite: surf, soccer and Jiu-jitsu, I used to play soccer in school. -What kind of music do you like? Do you have one favorite song?
